History of the Association
1983
In 1983, the Friends of the Railway Association was founded.
1986
In 1986, the first issue of the magazine Sidirotrochia was published by the association’s members.
1987
In 1987, the Railway Friends Association organized a trip covering the entire route between Volos and Milies in the district of Magnesia.
1993
In 1993, a workshop was held with the participation of the largest manufacturers of railway rolling stock to present tilting technology for high-speed trains.
1987
Το 1987 ο Σύλλογος Φίλων Σιδηροδρόμου πραγματοποιεί εκδρομή στην οποία καλύπτεται ολόκληρη διαδρομή μεταξύ Βόλου και Μηλιών στο Ν. Μαγνησίας.
1993
Το 1993 πραγματοποιείται ημερίδα με συμμετέχουσες τις μεγαλύτερες κατασκευάστριες εταιρείες σιδηροδρομικού τροχαίου υλικού για την παρουσίαση της τεχνολογίας tilting σε τρένα υψηλών ταχυτήτων.

In 1994, the site—which still houses the Friends of the Railway Association—was donated by OSE and officially opened.
1996
In 1996, the first anthology of works by the association’s members on railways in Greece was published.
2005
In 2005, the Railway Friends Association participated in a UNESCO event related to the railroad.
2007
In 2007, the entire archive was digitized as part of the Information Society program, which was co-funded by the European Union.
2005
Το 2005, ο Σύλλογος Φίλων Σιδηροδρόμου συμμετέχει σε εκδήλωση της UNESCO η οποία αφορά τον Σιδηρόδρομο.
2007
Το 2007, ψηφιοποιείται ολόκληρο το αρχείο, μέσα από το συγχρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση πρόγραμμα Κοινωνία της Πληροφορίας.
